On August 9 in Charleston, the Marshall University School Health Technical Assistance Center (MUSHTAC) in the Division of Community Health, Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and WVDHHR’s Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH) teams welcomed grant representatives from over 70 expanded school mental health (ESMH) sites for a full day workshop. The content was tailored for WVESMH grantees so they can gear up for a successful school year. Sessions included an ESMH Overview, Reporting Requirements & Tutorial, Intro to the WV Evidence-Based Program Clearinghouse, Fiscal Responsibilities, a CANS Overview, the SHAPE System, and crisis resources (988, Children’s Crisis & Referral Line, and Mobile Crisis). At least 46 professionals from across WV participated in the event.
