2026 Prevention Day at the Legislature

Feb 9, 2026 | Current Events

The West Virginia Prevention First Alliance is proud to host the 2026 Prevention Day at the Legislature. This event brings communities together to highlight the importance of prevention efforts at the local and statewide levels.

Prevention Day offers an exciting opportunity for community members and prevention professionals to engage directly with legislators—sharing the challenges they see in their communities and highlighting the proactive work already underway to address and prevent these issues across West Virginia.

Individuals and organizations are encouraged to participate in the legislative process by attending Prevention Day at the Legislature Wednesday, March 4, 2026. This is your opportunity to educate policymakers about critical prevention efforts, including substance use prevention, suicide prevention, tobacco prevention, bullying prevention, and more. Participant registration is encouraged but not required.

While Prevention Day is in-person only, the WV Senate Livestream and WV House of Delegates Livestream are available during session.
