On August 13, Brooke Middle School hosted a highly successful Back to School Bash to welcome students and families and kick off the new academic year. As the school’s ESMH Coordinator, Ashley Flaherty of Youth Services System welcomed and engaged with 134 students throughout the event. It was the perfect opportunity to bring mental health to the forefront. Ashley handed out special mental health back-to-school kits and chatted with new students and parents to promote the ESMH lunch groups. Starting the year this way allowed her to build meaningful early connections and remind everyone that student well-being is at the heart of what the school does every single day.
