The youth you work with may struggle with trauma effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACES). ACES often interfere with school success and can negatively impact participation in activities, events, relationships, overall wellness, and life outcomes. We invite you to learn about ACES, the impact on brain development and behavior. This ACES training series is intended to help parents and adults who serve youth better understand the impact of ACES and to learn some best practice strategies to help youth and families overcome and prevent the future occurence of ACES, changing lives in a positive direction.
The goal of this training series is to increase the capacity of caregivers and adults who work with youth to help you better engage and support youth who have experienced adverse child experiences.
