During the month of February leadership and attendance teams at Moundsville Middle met to discuss how to improve attendance. The school is nearing the goal of “Strive for 95%” attendance rate and wanted to do something to encourage the students to attend school more consistently. In an effort to do so, Dan Millhouse of Youth Services System worked with Communities in Schools and the leadership team to develop a fun TikTok video. It seems to have worked on improving attendance, even if the students are only attending to make fun of the team.
