Over 350 people attended the West Virginia Prevention Day 2025 on April 2 in Charleston. Legislators had the opportunity to hear from prevention and treatment professionals, community organizations, school leaders, and young people about the need for continued support for prevention efforts in our state.
Among the more than 50 exhibitors were Crystal Criswell and Tiffany Pittman (Marshall University School Health Technical Assistance Team) alongside Garrett Keefer and Tahnee Bryant (WV DoHS Bureau for Behavioral Health) with information about WV Expanded School Mental Health. Amy Knicely (Marshall University Center of Excellence for Recovery – Project AWARE) shared materials for the Bridge to Success Guide. Many people including students from counties across the state visited our tables to learn more about expanded school mental health and Project AWARE.
A livestream video and photo gallery are available on the Prevention Day 2025 webpage.
