Rainelle Medical Center Equips Students & Parents for Positive Futures

Nov 20, 2025 | News

The mighty Eastern Greenbrier Middle School Knights are gearing up for the future! On October 10, Sheila Tate from Ranielle Medical Center visited the 6th graders to teach them about their growing responsibilities as they prepare to become the noble adults of tomorrow. Just like true Knights, the students are learning to face challenges with courage and wisdom—arming themselves with knowledge to conquer the road ahead!

In an effort to protect student health and raise awareness about the growing issue of teen vaping, Rainelle Medical Center’s THINK Program also presented at a parent education night entitled “Hidden in Plain Sight”. The presentation was to inform parents and educators about the risks associated with e-cigarettes and vaping products. They also taught parents to recognize signs of vaping and showed examples of popular vaping devices, many of which are designed to look like USB drives or pens. The evening concluded with a Q&A session and distribution of resources. When schools and families work together, we can make a real difference in protecting our students’ well-being.
