A National Blue Ribbon School is a prestigious designation awarded to elementary, middle, and high schools for academic excellence or significant progress in closing student achievement gaps. Established in 1982, this award honors schools with high student performance, high graduation rates, and a, positive, safe school culture.
Students and staff at Steenrod celebrated in January by wearing blue to demonstrate their school spirit and pride. Steenrod continues to strive for excellence, placing an emphasis on social and emotional learning to create a supportive environment where students can thrive.
