During “Lunch Bunch” small groups with Kristen Breen of Youth Services System, 22 students grades 3-5 at Steenrod Elementary completed the Second Step Tier 2 Emotions, Thoughts, and Feelings Curriculum. Students recognized that their thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected by learning about the Thoughts, Feelings, and Actions triangle. In the last lesson, students designed super heroes with powers that help them to “bounce back.” Some of the powers they gave their super heroes were super intelligence, always having confidence, and never giving up.
