Suicide Postvention Webinar Opportunity

Jul 15, 2022 | Learning Opportunities

Mountain Plains MHTTC is hosting a free webinar about helping after a suicide. Clinical training around suicide most often emphasizes intervention efforts and prevention skills, but rarely includes information about how to manage the aftermath of a death by suicide. This webinar will focus on how to develop and implement plans for postvention, or what to do in the aftermath of a death by suicide. The discussion will emphasize creating a plan, designating key tasks and assigning roles, how to effectively (and with less stigma) communicate about suicide, and how to transition from postvention back to prevention.
