Survey: Understand the State of Pediatric Mental Healthcare Access in West Virginia

Jul 19, 2024 | News

The Office of Maternal Child and Family Health within the Department of Health is working to assess the landscape of mental health care access for individuals under the age of 22 in WV.  This survey is one portion of a three-part process to begin to understand the state of pediatric mental health care access in West Virginia.

The survey will take 10 minutes or less to complete. The information from this survey is confidential. All responses are anonymous. Click here to begin the survey.

Responses will go to a third party where they will be compiled. This will offer a current picture of access to pediatric mental health care and what is needed to better support providers to serve children 0-18 years of age with mental and behavioral health care needs.

Throughout 2024 and early 2025, survey results will be combined with information collected in one-on-one interviews and focus groups to develop a report of the state of pediatric mental health care access in West Virginia. The report will also include recommendations to improve pediatric mental health care access. The final report will be available in the summer of 2025 and will be publicly available and widely distributed. We are so grateful for your support.
