Raleigh General Hospital visited Talcott Elementary for the Buccaneer Breakfast. Raleigh General’s pediatric nurses talked to thirty (30) students from 4th and 5th grades about the importance of proper hygiene. They discussed how to wash your hands, hair, and body. The group was reminded to be kind and empathetic to fellow students who may not have things at home to perform proper hygiene. After the presentation, the nurses gave the students deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. They also donated items to the school’s hygiene closet. The program is part of the school’s goal to promote health and hygiene.
