Very First Project Aware State Data Review Meeting Held

Jan 26, 2023 | AWARE

The LEAs from Cabell, Clay, Fayette, Harrison, Logan, and Wirt counties all attended the Project Aware State Data Review Meeting in Charleston on Friday, January 20th. This is the first time grantees have had the opportunity to work with their evaluation and technical assistance teams, specifically on data.

Traci Jarrett, from the West Virginia Prevention Research Center, and Crystal Criswell, from Marshall University’s School Health Technical Assistance Center provided presentations. Participants reviewed the data collected by each site, what is reported to SAMHSA, and how accuracy affects usefulness. In addition, there were discussions about other sources of data and how to use their data to inform planning.

Additional Data Review Meetings will be scheduled in the future.
