As part of May Mental Health Awareness Month, Camden Family Health partnered with Webster County High School to host a Mental Health Art Show. The goal of the event was to help bring awareness to mental health through student creativity and expression. Students from both the middle school and high school (grades 7th-12th) participated by creating artwork centered around emotions, coping skills, self-expression, hope, resilience, and mental wellness.
The art show provided students with a positive and supportive outlet to express themselves while also helping normalize conversations surrounding mental health within the school environment. Artwork was displayed throughout the school for students and staff to view, and students were encouraged to respectfully appreciate the creativity and personal meaning behind each piece.
The event was very well received by both students and staff and served as a meaningful way to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month while promoting self-expression, empathy, and mental wellness within the school community.
