WV Represents at the Annual Conference on Advancing School Mental Health in New Orleans

Dec 15, 2023 | News, AWARE, Current Events

There were 18 representatives from West Virginia among the over 2,000 individuals attending the conference December 5-7 in New Orleans, LA. West Virginia professionals participated as attendees and presenters to advance school mental health for the first in-person National Center for School Mental Health conference since 2019. Those in attendance could choose from over 118 sessions, daily Keynote Addresses, a variety of poster sessions, six (6) intensive training sessions, and vendors, all dedicated to school mental health topics.

Our West Virginia crew took advantage of their evenings and time outside of sessions by seeing the sites in the Big Easy, sampling the Creole food, people watching on Bourbon Street, and shopping in the French Quarter. Many of our WV natives spent extra time together, creating fond memories and building friendships.
